Underhill, James H.
1958 – 2009

Dr. James H. Underhill died July 19, 2009, at the age of 50 because of a tragic plane crash.

Jim is survived by his wife, Jenny and their children, Eva, and William, as well as his older children, Catie, Claire, Ted and their mother, Wanda. He will also be sorely missed by his parents, Marilyn, and Ted; sister, Beth (Terry) Hughes; brother, John (Laurel); mother-in-law, Evangelia Kondos; sister-in-law, Sophia (Richard) Crenian; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jim was a talented and dedicated eye surgeon who showed great respect and care for his patients, colleagues, and nursing staff. His medical talents could have taken him anywhere, but he chose to practice where he was raised as Jim was a big believer in Saskatoon. His belief in our city lead to him become a strong supporter of Saskatoon charities including his church and the City Hospital Foundation.

Jim had many passions in his life: skiing, sailing, and flying standout. He fully embraced all those he met and his friendships, of which he was fortunate to have many, were extremely important to him. However, his greatest passion was for his children, of whom he was so proud.
